Our values guide and direct our work environment, even as they reflect shared commitments made by employees and Municipal leaders alike. These values define who we are and what we stand for, both as an organization and as a family of employees working together for each other and Burnaby citizens.

Overall, the City of Burnaby strives to be an organization that people want to work with. To get there, these are the shared values that drive our employee success:

We also celebrate individual and team achievements because our employees deserve to be recognized and rewarded for the job they do. It's about respect and caring at the City, and it's a commitment we take seriously.

Of course, we offer comprehensive compensation and benefits packages that are highly competitive by any standards. So add up the benefits, amenities and professional development opportunities and it is clear why Burnaby is a rewarding and exciting place to work.

Corporate Overview

Burnaby is a maturing, increasingly integrated community that is centrally located within a rapidly growing metropolitan area.
