Regular physical activity is crucial for mental, physical and emotional health. Unfortunately, nearly 47 percent of British Columbians are not active enough to achieve the health benefits that stem from regular exercise. Worse still, some 70 percent of obese adolescents will become obese adults and put themselves at risk for such serious health issues as adult onset diabetes, coronary heart disease, high blood pressure and some forms of cancer.

Your mission as part of the b active crowd: To just say ‘no’ to being part of the couch-potato generation. Just 30 minutes of activity a day can decrease your risk of adult onset diabetes and decrease risk for osteoporosis.
